Entertainment is a pleasure, delight or amusement. It’s an activity that causes a feeling of euphoria in a person and makes them forget about all their problems. People choose different means of entertainment depending upon their taste. They can be anything like movies, plays, sports or even their friends. However, entertainment should not hurt anyone or be below human dignity.
The word “entertain” derives from the Latin intertenere, meaning “to hold inside.” Today, it can be adapted to a variety of needs: from a single individual choosing private entertainment from the enormous variety now available; to a banquet adapted for two; to performances intended for thousands or even a global audience.
